Club Manager - Alex Bale

"I have been involved with field hockey since I were a wee lad, mostly in countries where we routinely omit the "field" part. Since moving to Canada in 2011 I have played with the Hawks A and B and currently help run the Hawks B team on top of my role as Hawks Manager. I have a daughter born in 2012 and, yes, she is already playing the sport. My wife steadfastly refuses to play though she has come to the odd drop-in - she is a wise woman."

Club Administrator - Silvia Ferrari

Silvia comes from a teaching background. She made the switch to administration a few years ago and joined the Hawks as the new administrator in January of 2017. In the year she has been with us, she has enjoyed getting to know many club members and learning all about field hockey. She has a young daughter who is now a proud Junior Hawk and often helps out mum on the field.

President - Andrew Dewberry

Don't let the photo fool you... Andrew's head is definitely not in the clouds. Andrew has already made a significant contribution as Treasurer to the Club. Both sons, Jack and Sam, play with Hawks. Sam is currently a member of the Junior National Team. Any injuries Andrew sustains are more likely to be workshop rather than hockey related.

Secretary - Michael Foxcroft (Foxy)

Mike has served as Secretary for the Executive for 9 years. His minutes are always dead accurate and concise! On any given weekend, you may find him playing with the B's, C's or D's. Sometimes all three! He thinks the cure to lower back pain is more hockey. His twin boys Alex and Spencer (shoe size 12 at time of writing) also play with the C's and D's.

Director at-large - Ian MacKenzie

President from 2012 to 2017, Ian is one of the longest serving presidents in the history of the club. His father Duncan played for Canada and his son Michael is a member of the Junior Canadian Team. Ian didn't play hockey until he went to UBC but some say talent skips a generation anyway.

Director at-large - Seona Johnston

Seona has been involved in the hockey community her whole life and her experience on the Board is invaluable. Capturing Seona on camera has proved elusive. If you wonder what she looks like, merge the photo of her son, Gordie (left), with Shanlee, her daughter (below) and deconstruct it. Incidentally, both Gordie and Shanlee play for Canada.

Director at-large - Morgan Gibson

Morgan stepped into her identical twin sister's shoes when Scottie left the Board due to work commitment. Morgan brings the same level of positive energy like Scottie as Women's Captain for the Club. At least we think it's Morgan...

Director at-large (Men's Captain) - David (DJ) Jameson

"I've been a Hawk since the ripe old age of 7. I've only taken a couple of brief hiatuses to play for UBC and overseas in Perth, Australia, Frankenthal, Germany and London, England. I also represented Canada for 14 years on the international stage."

It's not uncommon to find a groupie sneaking into a photo with DJ as his team mate Hamish would testify.

Director at-large - Campbell Munsie

Cam plays goalie for the Premier Team. He is also very involved with coaching young goalies.
